Stephenville earned the Tourism Friendly Texas Community designation on December 13, 2024, becoming one of just 34 communities in the state to receive this honor in the program’s inaugural year. The official certificate was presented to the City on March 6, 2025, and Stephenville was proudly recognized by Governor Greg Abbott on March 24, 2025. This designation highlights Stephenville’s dedication to providing a welcoming experience for visitors and strengthening the local tourism industry.
